Sooner or later, after your ex has had the chance to miss you, you’ll probably get the chance to spend some time with them again. This is when you’ll have the opportunity to help re-ignite that fire, and that love that your ex once felt towards you.
When you began your relationship, that spark would have made your relationship grow deeper, and would have helped you to enjoy a nice life together, until something went horribly wrong and you broke up.
Assuming that the problem can indeed be fixed, here’s how to get your ex to fall for you once again.
When you first meet up with your ex again after the break-up don’t go into a full blown analytics about what went wrong and how it could be fixed. No, while that will be an important step in reconciliation it should come only at a later stage.
During that first meeting, there are two things that are very important. The first thing is to have fun together. No matter what you do, or where you meet, just try and have a little fun without any heavy or serious stuff being brought up. The second thing to do on your first “post break-up” meeting is to show your ex that you’re confident and you’re happy. This is of epic importance – don’t be a weeping wreck, while your ex may benefit from a flattered ego, it wont help your reconciliation chances one iota.
After your first post-breakup meeting, don’t seem too eager to arrange for another date. Hopefully your initial meeting went well, in which case allow it some time and give the impression that you’re just getting on with life. Ironically, the less contact you actually have post break up, the more likely your ex will think about you in a positive light, and be more in tune with the possibility of a reconciliation.
During the meeting, try and focus on making your ex laugh and smile. Humour is the best medicine for just about everything, and if you get your ex in a good mood, you’re psychologically making them think of you in a favourable light.
Make sure you drop those irritating habits. If there were any traits, or other annoying habits of yours that irritated your ex make sure you eradicate them when you meet for the first time after your break up. Sometimes, small things can irritate and agitate people far more than they should. Perhaps you wore a certain type of clothing/hairstyle that bothered them. Or perhaps you had a habit of chewing with your mouth open. Or maybe you were a lousy tipper. Whatever the issue, simply make sure you don’t exhibit it during that all important first meeting post the break up.
There’s no disguising the importance of the first time you meet your ex after your break up. There are many reasons why it is important – you’ll get the chance to make a new, positive impression but beyond that you’ll also be able to scope their feelings out – you should be able to tell how warm, or cold, they feel towards you and you can moderate your strategy accordingly.
